The Setting Sun

She cast that hopeful look onto the setting sun in the horizon, her inner hope still rising after the night, spreading its light..Her hope in a better future and a better life. Her hope in something better that is yet to come..Something she might not be there to witness, but she still hoped with all her heart..
A slight breeze passed at the same moment she took a deep breath to smell the odor of the jasmines in the gardens around her.The breeze passed through the locks of her hair, spreading them in the air, swaying and flying freely behind her.She knelt down, and took a handful of that beautiful white sand, then let it slip from betwixt her pale fingers onto the ground from where it came.It gave her a tickling feeling, drawing a smile upon her face. She lifted her head toward the sky, and her eyes were captured by the wonderful view of the sky dyed in all the colors of the rainbow, especially that calm red, and she smiled again.
As she stood there, she felt like she was a sparrow floating along with the cool, calm breeze moving everywhere..She slowly spread her arms to her sides, and lifted her head, looking at the sky above..At those white clouds stained with a mixture of red and rose from the setting sun, and those nightingales hovering above, lifting themselves like shooting stars into the depth of the skies, then letting go, and falling in curved lines which mingled with the lines of colors in the sky, leaving a trace behind, of the passage of those elegant creatures of nature..Which though gone soon, will always remain remembered in that place..
A sudden wave crashed onto the shore, splattering drops of sea water onto her face, adding a sparkle to her sharp features, like the drops of dew on the petals of roses in the morning..At that moment, a tear escaped her eye, mingling with the sea drops that fell on her face, a tear that none but she would ever know about..A tear that held so much within..A blended mixture of calm happiness and remorseful sadness..The joy of each moment that she still lived as the sun set, and the remorse of those times during which she did not enjoy the blessing of life..
By then, the top tip of intense red of the sun was the only part that could be seen from that round ensnaring magician..It was only a matter of moments, then nothing would remain of it but a vague color in the sky, fading as the night slowly sneaked in..
Her feet could no longer hold her, and hence leaving her to fall onto those thousands of sand grains on the ground, unable to move..She felt a strange weakness that she had never felt before, like the string of life was being pulled from within her.Her eyes were fixed on that last part of the sun moving downwards, and though paralyzed, she could feel that soft breeze patting her as it passed by settling the curtain of darkness..She smiled as she remembered her family, her friends, all the moments in which she had laughed, and all those years that passed of her life, before she fell sick..She smiled as she enjoyed the last moments of her life in that Utopia where she was lying then..She smiled, as the last color in her cheeks vanished, along with the last color of the dying sun..
Following the death of the sun was a cool wind that passed by that body on the ground, lifting her soul away from it, and toward another world..A world where she would await all her beloved ones to remain imparted, for eternity...
