She could see nothing but a vague cloud before her.Everything was so blurry and inobvious. She felt a strange pain in her heart.A pain she couldn't understand what its cause was.
A few minutes later her vision started to become clearer, and she could realize her house before her, and feel the wet grass of the garden beneath her.It had been raining some time earlier, and the sky was still cloudy and dull.
She took a deep breath and tried to get up on her feet when the pain in her heart suddenly increased. The pain was so strong that she put her hand on her chest and her face twitched violently.
Finally, she managed to get up on her feet and started walking slowly in the direction of the house. As she entered from the front door, a flash-back suddenly hit her, and she remembered walking through that same door earlier that day, but she couldn't point out the exact time of her entry. Then, her memory started to return gradually. She remembered passing through that door, carrying a back-pack, her shoulders wet because of the rain outside. Then, she took off her coat and threw it on the sofa along with her back-pack.
As that flash-back ended she felt a chill run down her spine. She had a very strange feeling. It was as if everything around her had suddenly died. There were no birds chirping on the orange tree in the garden of the house. There was not a sound of anything around.
She was climbing up the stairs to her bedroom when another flash-back hit her.She remembered climbing those stairs just after entering the house earlier, and seeing a shadow at the top of those stairs. The shadow moved so swiftly that she couldn't recognize what it really was.She froze for a couple of minutes before convincing herself that it was only her imagination and nothing more.
By the time the flash-back ended, she had climbed the stairs and reached the door of the her bedroom. She opened the door and entered.Calling out for her parents and her brother at the top of her voice, she received no answer.Nothing other than the echo of her footsteps.
On entering her room, a very strange and sad feeling overcame her.The room was so dead! The flowers in the case on her desk had withered and the little perroquet in the cage beside her bed was lying on the floor of the cage..Dead!!
She was shocked at the sight of the dead flowers and the breathless bird, and she stayed like that for some time before she started to move slowly about her room till she reached the little window overlooking the garden outside the house.
As she looked outside that window, a feeling of horror ran through her whole body, and she felt her heart beats increase and the pain as well.
She left everything and ran out of the room as fast as she could, and she ran down the stairs and out of the front door into the garden. As she stood in front of the door, she saw that body lying on the wet grass, lifeless, with a bullet hole in its chest-a bull's eye in the heart-and blood covering it and staining the green grass red.
That was when everything paced through her mind like lightning. The shadow, the gun, the sound of the gun-shot, the blurry vision of the house, the horrible pain and then...It was all over.
It was then, and only then, that she realized she was...Dead!!
