Beyond

She cast a look upon the far away stars, so bright and shining amidst the darkness of the night, like chromatic diamonds spread upon a wide, black sheet. As she lay on the cold sand looking upward toward the endless sky, she reached her hand out imagining if she could grab a star. The stars seemed so near, yet so far.So ensnaring with their white glowing brightness. She was dazzled by their beauty and imagined if she could actually reach the stars and float amidst them in that vast endless universe.
In every star she could see a dream of hers, an accomplishment she had always longed for, calling out to her to approach it..Reach it..
Suddenly, a huge cloud passed by, covering all the stars that smiled from above. The sky suddenly became so dark, and the cloud seemed to be of endless continuance. The girl was taken by that sudden, unpleasant cloud. There was nothing she could do, so she just lay on the sand, waiting for that cloud to disappear. But the cloud just extended to what seemed to be forever. She thought about the dreams that she could not accomplish, and how they were covered by such a cloud of misery.
After quite a long time, she decided to get up and leave the place, thinking she could not see the stars once more. But at that moment, as she was about to leave, the sand before her eyes started to become brighter. She glanced upwards, and saw the cloud moving away from the stars, revealing them once again. She had just one thought in her head then."She had no idea how close she was to success when she had decided to quit".If she had waited for a couple of more minutes, she would have seen the stars again without having to think of leaving.
It was a simple moment, but of a great essence. Then, she knew that whenever she would feel like giving up and letting go, she was usually much closer to accomplishing her goal than she thought she was.By then, she knew that there is always room for improvement, and that she could always add one more step to her stair of success and to what she did, that she could always push herself harder one more time, and that quitting is not the answer.By that moment she was determined. She knew that she had many dreams that were worth trying for, a goal for which she was created that she had not reached yet, and many things for which she would try again and again and again without stopping.
She could not help but smile at those thoughts..And as she lay on the grains of white sand once again, looking upward toward the sky, now glowing with numerous stars above, she knew there was much more yet to come than what was lost and gone, and that no matter how huge a cloud might seem to be, it will always have an end that reveals more stars than the ones that have been lost under its seemingly-endless shadows..
