After a long time of observing matters, I eventually came to the conclusion that this world basically revolves around what is unseen rather than what is seen. A very significant representation of the power of the unseen is the mind. If we have a deeper look, we'll find that everything revolves around the mind. Yet to discuss this matter, we have to clarify the crucial difference between the mind and the brain. The brain is nothing but a physical representation of the mind-the metaphysical. A simple representation of the unseen. A relation similar to the one between the body and the soul, where the body is nothing but the physical presentation of the metaphysical, the soul.
In real life, we see a lot of people who are physically disabled, yet mentally much more powerful than other physically perfect people. A mentally unstable person could have a perfect physical existence, but in reality he does not exist due to his mental absence. Thus, in considering these examples, we find that the fundamental basis for a true existence is the mind and soul, not the body. In addition, based on my personal perspective, I find that the mind actually dominates the soul in the hierarchy of human metaphysicality. Through the mind, you can control the soul, as all thoughts reside in one's mind. A positive person is positive because they keep positive thoughts in their mind, which eventually affect their spirit, while a pessimist is pessimistic because their mind is drenched in negative thoughts which slowly crawl to fill his spirit with negativity. And from this point comes the idea of "The laws of attraction". Concerning the laws of attraction, I believe that we are the ones who actually create those laws ourselves. Thinking to yourself "I will succeed" and finally succeeding is not a matter of coincidence. You create your own success without any coincidences, simply because thinking you can succeed produces positive feelings throughout your mind, which spread to your soul and make you work toward achieving your thoughts. It is also noticed that "thoughts"-which are a metaphysical element- are the main brick for establishing numerous wonders. Thus the relation between metaphysicality and physicality is mutually beneficial, but still with a dominance of the metaphysicality over the physicality, where the physical element is a means for presenting the essence of the metaphysical one.
So, basically, physical existence is not the true existence, but metaphysical existence is. This is obvious in the fact that we still talk about people who died centuries ago, and how we take many of those prominent figures to be our role models in our present lives and get touched by those words that they said a long time ago. This proves that physical death does not mean actual death, because physical death does not mean death of the soul. A person could die in body, but their memory could stay in many hearts for eternity, and throughout ages to pass. These memories- which have a metaphysical presence- are much more powerful than photos for instance-which are a physical presentation of the metaphysical-since photos fade with ages, and get affected by the winds of time. Thus, having a wider look upon the Universe, we notice that the majority of people live from the perspective of the "seen" in a world which should be seen from the perspective of the "unseen". An amazingly applicable theme to this theory is the theme of "Appearance Versus Reality", tackled in many literary works throughout different ages, and profoundly relevant to reality. The "Seen" is the "Appearance", while the "Unseen" is the "Reality". Our vision as human beings usually stops at the "seen" level-the level of "appearance", or what our eyes can see, not our mind. This is quite clear throughout everyday relations and events. How many times were we deceived by the outer looks of someone, then discovered that they are absolutely different than what they seemed to be? How many times were we deceived by the actions of a certain person, but never got to think about the true story behind them?
Usually our limitations stand at the physically seen appearance instead of the metaphysically unseen reality, and that is why, for instance, we cannot imagine Heaven and its wondrous luxuries, for it contains what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and what never came to a human's mind. "فيها ما لا عين رأيت, ولا أذن سمعت, ولا خطر على قلب بشر", and this is actually the beauty of it, the suspense present in knowing that even the most beautiful things that we saw or felt in this world are nothing in comparison to what exists in Heaven. Even if we try to imagine, we'll find the final picture imagined in our minds a mere combination of previously seen images and places, simply because our limitations stand at what we can only see.
Hence, putting the borderlines of our existence at the level of physicality actually stops us from enjoying the beauty of the unseen. We cannot deny that a great number of physical existences are truly wonderful to the eye and soul, but if we take a closer look, we'll find that these beauties are again an outer cover for an even more beautiful hidden message, like the interesting cover of a closed book which stimulates your inner senses and arouses your curiosity to take a deeper look into its contents. And here comes the role of imagination. One of the amazing marvels of the human mind is its ability for imagination. Unleashing your imagination means unleashing your soul into a world of what's beyond touchable existence. It can actually generate feelings, voices, scents and other emotionally biased experiences out of nothingness, only if you get too involved in your imaginations. Imagination is the product of a short-lengthed physical action, like a word or a smile or a moment of fun that took place in a certain space of time, carving an eternal metaphysical existence in one's mind and heart, in the form of a memory, or a thought. Thus, imagination is the mind's way to relive moments that once existed in a physical state, through their metaphysical form. So, as is said, it is truly better to be absent yet present, than to be present yet absent.
"من الأفضل أن تكون غائبا حاضرا, عن أن تكون حاضرا غائبا"
In conclusion, from my perspective, the Universe is wrapped in an invisible cloak of metaphysical elements, represented shallowly by other physical ones. Once you are able to remove the curtain of the "seen" away, and start to look at the world by your heart, mind and soul instead of your eyes only, you will be able to experience the true beauty present within every situation, and within every person on this planet.
